Transportation from the airport to Chania and the Conference venue (MAICH)

The city of Chania can be reached from the airport by bus or taxi. Buses are available at low rates (€2.3). Detailed timetable information can be found at https://www.e-ktel.com/en/

Taxis are also available at the airport. The cost of taking a taxi from the airport to Chania is about €27.

The best way to reach the Conference venue (MAICH, point P1 on the map) from the airport is to take a taxi. There is no direct bus connection between MAICH and the airport. The taxi costs approximately €27. Alternatively, you can take the bus from the airport to Chania and take a taxi from the city center to MAICH at a cost of about €10.

Transportation from Chania to MAICH

Bus transportation has been arranged from the city center to the Conference venue. The conference buses will depart daily from the city center (Ploumidaki Str., see point P2 on the map here). The schedules for the return rides are as follows:

The Conference venue can also be reached from the city center of Chania by public transportation. Local bus no 13 (Chania-Souda) connects the city center with MAICH. Bus tickets cost €1.5 (one way) and it would be better to be obtained in advance at any kiosk downtown. Tickets can also be purchased on the bus, at a higher price (€2.5). Local city buses leave every 20min from Agora Square (bus stop “Epimelitirio - Agora”, point P3 on the map) at the center of Chania and it takes about 15 minutes to reach MAICH. The bus stop to the Conference venue is “MAICH” and it is located approximately 200m from the main entrance to the premises of MAICH (see point P4 and the walking route indicated on the map).

Alternatively, the MAICH Conference Center can be reached from the city center of Chania by taxi, at a cost of about €10.
