Distinguished Scholar Award
Haim Levy (Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel) was the recipient of the FEBS Distinguished Scholar Award for 2019 for his outstanding contributions to finance research. Haim Levy is the Miles Robinson Professor of Business Administration at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. Prof. Levy served as economic advisor to the Bank of Israel; the Israeli Ministry of Finance; Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor; and Ministry of National Infrastructures, among other government offices. He has won many awards, including the Hebrew University's Prize for Excellence in Research for 1996. Prof. Levy has introduced the theory of stochastic dominance and made significant contributions to financial economics and risk-management.
